KNITTING - Knitting for activists and for good will people

Dear friends of the English speaking world,
Today I wish I could share with you an invitation that I have received; 

It is a call to partecipate in the anti-bullying campaign called Hat not Hate.  The meeting is called : : : 

"The Blue Retreat" and will be held next May 15^th -17^th, 2020 in
Kent, CT  USA;

I am not an activist even though common sense makes me think that it is a laudable initiative, in fact I believe that in some cases abstention is conniving with evil and in these way it  moves us on the wrong side of the barricades.

I will not be able to participate for reasons of economic and time availability, however, since it is reasonable not to put limits on the category of possibilities, we cannot exclude that someone  of you may have the means and moments to participate.

About Hat Not Hate Hat Not Hate, as the name suggests, provides a positive symbol of the growing community of students and adults standing up to bullying: handmade blue hats. Our blue army of advocates, activists, knitters and crocheters have donated more than 26,000 handmade hats over the past two years. At our retreat, you’ll have the opportunity to make and donate your very own blue hat to contribute towards our 2020 goal of distributing 100,000 hats to school-age students across the country during National Bullying Prevention Month this October.

MAGLIA - Calze guacamole

Eccoci qua con un nuovo lavoretto, queste calzine vezzose sono state fatte dopo un corso nel quale mi hanno insegnato a sferruzzare il tallone in un momento successivo.

L'alluce separato è stato fatto seguendo la logica delle "Rayas Rosadas" che Vi ho fatto vedere l'anno scorso, tratte anche loro da questo modello Drops

Le ho chiamato "Guacamole" dal colore del filato verde variegato.

Ho usato DPN (Gioco di Ferri o Ferri a doppia punta) 3 e per i talloni e le dita 2,75 

Nel mentre che attendo vostri racconti di   quanto avete o  fatto o visto fare  con le   mani, Vi saluto con  simpatia ... a risentirci!

MAGLIA - Scaldapolsi coordinati Mamma-Figlia

Buongiorno! Buongiorno!... almeno... mentre Vi scrivo è mattina...

Eccoci qua ritrovati un'altra volta, per guardare un coordinato di scalda polsi, ho semplicemente invertito i colori, il modello è stato tratto da un libro lituano sui guanti, ed è il n. 7 con la modifica di aggiungere alla fine due creste di legaccio.

MAGLIA - Stivaletti

Carissimi amici e carissime amiche, ben trovati nel primo post del 2010...

Son passati alcune settimane dall'ultima volta che ci siamo sentiti ma ecco che posso farVi vedere alcuni tra i doni preparati per le festività Natalizie appena portate via dall'Epifania di Nostro Signore.

Questi sono stivaletti lavorati molto velocemente perché il filato (Andes Drops) è molto cicciotto, il modello è loro, è gratuito, e si chiama Beyond Boots.

MAGLIA - Primo Boxy Jumbo (maglione donna)

Voilà un'altro degli ultimi lavori finiti, un maglione boxy, il mio primo boxy, "Boxy" significa che ha la forma quadrata, come se fosse un cubo.

E' molto comodo anche per lavorare poiché le maniche 3/4 lasciano completa libertà d'azione.

Carissimi e carissime, chiedo pazienza al mondo italofono per questa volta pubblicare un post dedicato al mondo che parla inglese.  Per caso, navigando nella pagina Facebook di Knitting Patterns Galore, mi sono imbattuta in una domanda di Sumera Anjum, su come eseguire uno schema a coste con trafori e umilmente, visto il grado di semplicità moderata del lavoro, ho risposto e mi  sono offerta di fare il campione, è quanto vedete giù... buon proseguimento d'estate

Dear friends (knitting friends and all kind of good will possible visitors) let me introduce myself to you:  I am an argentinian wife and mother with a labour past as teacer of foreing languages and as well interpreter and translator.  Please forgive me if my English is not quite fresh, just because since 2005 I gave up 90% of then languages activities to help my husband José in his newstand in Varese, Italy, the lovely country where we have been living since 1989.

I am a busy knitter in love with wool, cotton and all kind of yarns, this passion lead me to became a KNITTING MATE, this means I can give a hand or stand by anyone desiring to practise  or improve his or her knitting skills.

Yesterday, while visiting the FB account "Knitting Patterns Galore" I found a question from Sumera Anjum, dated last June 18th, today I am happy to share with you the small swatch I could produce, along with the written directions to get it.
I understand that the timing of non commercial sites just as this blog and my contributions may mean very much patience since anyone could contact me back, but I will happily remain awaiting to hear from you.
